Oakland Raiders Are Probably Giving Thanks for the Wins in 2010

Happy Thanksgiving, Oakland Raiders and Raider Nation.

The pilgrims were thankful for all that they accomplished in early American history. We ought to be thankful that the Raiders have a 5-5 record and six more games left in the 2010 season.

We realize that victories are accomplished one step at a time. Miami is the most immediate challenge. Let's be thankful that it is a home game. Once more, let's be grateful that the Raider Nation has an opportunity to fill the stands and make loud noises to prompt the team to play well.

Let's be thankful that Richard Seymour only had a fine. After all, not everyone tolerates a person rushing toward them and invading their "personal space." Think about it!

Believe it or not, some of us are thankful that Seymour's reaction to someone rushing into his personal space showed that he is alert and his defenses are always keen to protect himself from unexpected, yet, subtle and shrewd affronts.

We, the Raider  Nation, are thankful that it is as well as it is. It's time to look at our team and to be grateful that we have been able to witness several changes in old patterns.

Now we are able to have hope that is well-founded.

Here are words of wisdom:

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

We celebrate Thanksgiving in 2010. My question is to whom are some of us giving thanks. It's a rhetorical question and you can answer it privately.

As for some of us and our houses, we are truly thankful.

Whether we are abased or abound, we say thanks.
