Morrison was tendered with a low third-round tender that surprised many people. Though he wasn't signed to an offer sheet he did say there were teams interested. Morrison could be one of the veterans on the move via trade in the next two days of the draft.
The NFC East looks like a very likely destination for Morrison, as he fills a need for all four of the teams in the division. Let's take a look at how each team in the NFC East could acquire him.
New York Giants
Perhaps no other team was more upset with the Raiders' eighth pick than the Giants. With the departure of Antonio Pierce the Giants were hoping to land McClain. Morrison's name and the Giants were immediately connected once Morrison received the low tender.
The Giants have the 14th pick in the second round. While they would not give up that high of a pick for Morrison, they may be tempted if the Raiders threw in a later-round pick. This would solve a need for the Giants, and would allow the Raiders to move up to draft another quality player.
Perhaps Osi Umenyiora could be involved, but the Giants have already said they were not trading him.
Washington Redskins
Mike Shannahan has experience with Morrison. He coached against him during Morrison's early years. Morrison would make a good inside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme, and Shannahan must like his durability.
The Redskins don't have many picks to give up, but they have a couple players that the Raiders could use. Albert Haynesworth would fill a big need for the Raiders and Jason Campbell has also been linked to the Raiders.
