Big Boy Richard Seymour Signs Tender With Oakland Raiders

Everyone can finally breathe easy, because DE/DT Richard Seymour signed his tender —which if you didn't know is a very good thing.

Some worried that after trading our first round pick of 2011 to the Patriots we would only have him for one year, which would of been a bad deal on our part.

But with this signing we have him for at least one more season. It is still possible for him to sign a long term deal which would be nice.

This year he will make $12.398 million. Hopefully we work out a long term deal though.

He is not only a great player but also a great leader on the field and in the locker room.

He can also mentor second round pick Lamaar Houston since they are similar players.

Now with Seymour signed he is a lock to start at defensive end. He is versatile and can play any position on the defensive line.

With him and other additions to the front seven and the newly acquired depth at cornerback, we can easily be a top 15 defense. Last year is gonna be the last year we finish at the bottom in the league in run defense. That combined with our good pass defense we will be tough to get by.

But now to the rookie. No holdouts please!
