Is Flozell Adams Still a Possibility for the Oakland Raiders?

The Oakland Raiders' offensive line problems aren't a big secret.

However, it seems as if the Raiders significantly upgraded it, as they added key players like Bruce Campbell and Jared Veldheer in the draft.

Still, neither of those players are ready to start immdeiately, and Bruce Campbell is being converted to Right Guard.

This still leaves the tackle position in doubt: Mario Henderson is average and Langston Walker and Khalif Barnes haven't proven they can be consistent.

This brings in the question of whether or not to bring in free agent Pro Bowl Left Tackle Flozell Adams. Here is why and why not the Raiders will sign Adams. Comment and "Like"!

Why

1. The Oakland Raiders offense needs a proven leader like Adams

Oakland's offense is the youngest spot on the team. Flozell would provide leadership and bring Pro Bowl experience to the Raiders.

2. The Raiders'  Tackles are below average

I'm actually pretty high on Khalif Barnes. However, he isn't slated in as the starter currently on the line. Mario Henderson was a huge disappointment this season and while he was amongst the only 2 linemen to not get injured or benched in 2009, he played below standards.

3.  Adams is a solid starter who could start until Veldheer is ready

Jared Veldheer IS the future Left/Right Tackle. However, he came from division II and isn't quite ready to play the big boys in the NFL. Adams could play well while Jared develops his full potential.

Why Not

1. The Raiders are trying to get younger

The releases of Greg Ellis and Justin Fargas prove that the Raiders want to be a younger overall football team. Adding a 30-something year old Flozell isn't exactly a "youth movement".

2. Al would want to give Veldheer every chance to start

We know Al likes his draft picks to start. Jar...
