Even so, keep in mind that this is just minicamp and after this comes organized team activities and training camp. With that being said, here is a look at what our players are doing.
Day One
Surprisingly, Luke Lawton was at practice today even though he is suspended the first four games for using "performance enhancing drugs." With Oren O'neal gone, Lawton might be the primary contender along with Manase Tonga and Rock Cartwright.
Lechler was punting to JLH, Yamon Figurs, Jacoby Ford, and Shaun Bodiford. These four might be competing for PR duties come training camp. Nick Miller might be in the mix, if he can recover from his shin splints.
Bruce was on the sidelines with a sling on his left arm while Chaz was recovering from "soreness."
Rolando McClain was asking for the playbook and DVDs after he was drafted to get a head start. It paid off as he was looking sharp at MLB today.
The QB reps were Frye, JR, Campbell, and Boller with JR looking the best. Campbell looked the worst as he was still adjusting to some of the plays.
Bruce Campbell was playing at RG and is expected to compete for the RG/RT spots this season. He did have a few false starts and a short fight with DT Chris Cooper.
Jared Veldheer saw time at LT and is expected to push Henderson for the job.
Stanford Routt signed his tender and was practicing with the team.
DHB looked better, catching everything but two passes (one over his head and one at his feet).
Day Two
Kyle Boller looked bad, with his throws going everywhere. Not very convincing considering there are no DBs in most of the plays.
